What happened
Someone has claimed the £5,844,340 Lotto jackpot won in Lewisham, south-east London. Allwyn, which runs The National Lottery, confirmed the claim on 26 October 2026, about a month after the draw.
The ticket matched all six numbers in Round 1 of the draw on Saturday 26 September. The numbers were 22, 27, 38, 42, 47 and 59, and the Bonus Ball was 31.
Who won?
We don’t know. Allwyn hasn’t said who the winner is, or whether it’s one person or a syndicate. Winners don’t have to go public, and plenty choose not to. Our guide on staying anonymous after a win explains how that works.
Andy Carter, a senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, said "the best outcome is seeing the money reach the person who won it."
Is a month a long time to claim?
No, it’s well within the rules. You get 180 days to claim a draw game prize. Anything over £50,000 is claimed in person, after a phone call to the National Lottery first.
Our guide on how to claim covers every route, and what happens when you win goes through what comes next.
Why it’s still on the unclaimed list
You’ll still see the Lewisham jackpot on the National Lottery’s unclaimed prizes list for now. A prize stays there until it’s been checked and paid, and then it drops off.
The £12m jackpot nobody has claimed
The bigger mystery is still open. A £12 million Lotto jackpot won in Rhondda Cynon Taf on Saturday 6 June 2026 hasn’t been claimed. The numbers were 8, 10, 26, 30, 35 and 42, and the last day to claim is Thursday 3 December 2026.
Five £1 million prizes are waiting too, including a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker bought in Thurrock on 13 October. Our unclaimed prizes page has the full list and every deadline.
A good few weeks for Lotto players
Another ticket won the £4.3m Lotto jackpot on 21 October, and seven players have won £1 million in four draws. You can check your numbers against past draws, and every result is on our Lotto results page.
