Who is responsible?

LotteryToday operates LotteryToday.co.uk and is the controller of personal information handled for the operation of this website.

Information handled when you browse

Like every website, LotteryToday must receive technical information needed to return a page to your device. This may include your IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, and the date and time of the request.

If you use the site search, the words you enter form part of the requested web address and may therefore appear in technical server logs. Do not enter names, ticket numbers or other personal information into the search box.

Why this information is used

Technical information is processed to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and keep the service available. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable information website. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or make automated decisions about visitors.

Cookies and browser storage

LotteryToday does not currently set cookies or use local browser storage for analytics, advertising or saved preferences. The site’s Inter font files are delivered from the same website, so visiting a page does not require a separate request to a font provider.

If non-essential analytics, advertising or preference tools are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before those tools are enabled.

Hosting and recipients

Cloudflare provides the hosting, content delivery and security services used to make LotteryToday available. Cloudflare may process technical request and security information on our behalf and through its global network. You can read about Cloudflare’s privacy and data-protection arrangements.

We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed where required by law, needed to protect the website or its users, or necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

International processing and retention

Cloudflare operates internationally, so technical information may be processed outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards used by Cloudflare for international data transfers.

Technical logs are retained only for the periods needed by the hosting and security services to operate, investigate abuse and meet legal obligations. Those periods can vary according to the type of log and the security issue involved. LotteryToday does not maintain a separate visitor database.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing. These rights are not absolute, and identifying a particular visit may be impossible where no account or direct identifier is held.

You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.

Links to lottery operators, support organisations and other sources take you to websites with their own privacy practices. LotteryToday does not control the information those external websites collect.
