What is Win Win?
Win Win with People’s Postcode Lottery is a Saturday night game show on ITV1 and ITVX, presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. Series 2 started in September 2026 and has six episodes.
The twist is that you can play along at home. You answer the same questions as the contestants in the studio, and you can win the same kind of prizes: cash, cars, holidays and tickets.
You don’t need any quiz knowledge. The questions are about what the public thinks, a bit like Family Fortunes.
How to play along at home
It’s free. You don’t pay anything, and you don’t have to play People’s Postcode Lottery.
- You need to be 18 or over and live in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
- Set up a free ITV Win account before the show starts. In Scotland you can play through STV.
- Log in while the show is on. There are three rounds, each with five multiple-choice questions.
- Answer all five questions in a round and you’re in that round’s prize draw. Your answers don’t have to be right.
- There’s one entry per phone number per round.
What you can win
Each round has its own prize for viewers at home. In one episode this series, the prizes were £20,000 in cash, a Caribbean cruise for two and theatre tickets for four.
Round winners are picked at random within 10 minutes of the round closing, and ITV calls them. Keep your phone on for 72 hours after the show, because you have to be reachable to claim.
Millionaire’s Row and the £1m
Get every answer right in all three rounds and you can opt in to the Millionaire’s Row prize draw. Each week, one contestant in the studio and one viewer at home can win a place on Millionaire’s Row.
At the end of the series, everyone on Millionaire’s Row plays off in the studio. The winner takes at least £1 million.
It’s already changed one life. Sue Perkins said last year’s series winner turned up with 1p in her bank account and went home with a million pounds.
Is Win Win the same as the Postcode Lottery?
No. People’s Postcode Lottery sponsors the show, and one charity gets support each week. But playing along is a free prize draw run by ITV.
People’s Postcode Lottery itself is a separate paid lottery where you play with your postcode. It isn’t part of the National Lottery, which runs Lotto, EuroMillions and Thunderball. If you’re weighing up your chances on those, see which lottery has the best odds.
If you win
Prizes from a free prize draw aren’t taxed as income in the UK, just like lottery wins. Our guide to tax on lottery winnings explains what can be taxed later, such as savings interest. For a big win, our what happens when you win guide has a simple plan for the first few weeks.
